San Francisco Residential
114A Clarendon Ave — Twin Peaks
Refined heritage — modern soul
A thoughtful reinterpretation of San Francisco's Victorian heritage — honoring the craftsmanship of the Painted Ladies through a refined contemporary lens.
Design Concept — 2025
Refined heritage, modern soul
A home that speaks of history yet breathes with ease. The bones are Victorian — the spirit is unapologetically now. Every material, fixture, and finish was chosen to honour what came before while serving the way we live today.
Retained millwork, picture rails, and crown moulding speak to the building's Victorian bones.
Zellige tile, Carrara marble, and white shaker cabinetry layered with oil-rubbed bronze.
Mercury glass pendants on bronze chains paired with contemporary geometric brass fixtures.
Image Board
The full palette, materiality, and lighting concept drawn together.
01 — Kitchen
White shaker cabinetry frames a working kitchen that respects its Victorian origins. Green Zellige subway tiles carry the signature palette behind a gas range crowned by a stainless hood.
02 — Bathroom
A spa-like retreat where seafoam Zellige tiles rise floor to ceiling. The exposed bronze rain shower and globe pendants read as artefacts — beautiful objects that happen to function perfectly.
03 — Primary Bedroom
Deep charcoal panelled walls frame a brass picture rail running the full width of the room — the ideal ground for a curated triptych of San Francisco photography. A Sputnik chandelier adds celestial drama.
Proposed Plan
A thoughtfully reconfigured two-bedroom residence on the first floor of a Twin Peaks Victorian, balancing generous shared living against private retreats.
Technical Elevations
Rendered elevations for each principal room, illustrating fixture placement and material distribution.
01 — Kitchen Elevation
Full-height cabinetry, integrated hood, and Zellige backsplash panel. Mercury globe pendants flank the window overlooking Alamo Square.
02 — Bathroom Elevation
Full-height Zellige tile, exposed bronze rain shower column, and dome pendant over vanity mirror.
03 — Bedroom Elevation
Charcoal panel feature wall with picture rail, articulated brass Sputnik chandelier, and San Francisco art triptych.
